35 SPECTRUM

Several light installations interpret motifs of nature and spring through abstract, geometric language. They are not direct copies of nature, but interpretations of its rhythms and structures, where organic lines merge with geometric precision. Particular care has been taken to ensure that the installations complement and merge into the park’s natural environment rather than dominate it.

Several sculptural light installations made from dichroic glass are placed throughout the park. The exhibition forms a sequential route through the park. The installations are connected by a laser beam which, reflected through a system of mirrors, creates an uninterrupted path of light across the park. The beam becomes a symbolic thread, uniting all the compositions into one story.

This exhibition of light installations combines art, design and technology to create a contemporary public-space artwork. It offers visitors not only an aesthetic experience but also the opportunity to leisurely stroll through the park observing light, glass and movement creating an ever-changing visual environment. Kronvalda Park becomes a place to discover light art in an interactive, contemporary way while maintaining a connection with the theme of spring and the rhythms of nature.

The installations in the Kronvalda Park route of light “Awaken!” invite visitors to stop briefly, to breathe in, look around and feel themselves here and now. Light becomes the flow of time, a symbol of hope and a person’s inner light. It invites us to awaken a sense of wonder at the moment and reminds us that every moment, however brief, can become special if we truly experience and feel it.
