The circle is one of the oldest, most familiar and most-used geometric shapes, yet it always returns in a new context. Just as the sun rises again, seasons change and in spring buds bloom anew, our thoughts, choices, mistakes and hopes repeat themselves. As colors and intensity change, the circle becomes a living sign of time: it breathes and pulses, reminding us that every return also brings some possibility of change and a new perspective. At the same time, the installation speaks of this moment, the only point in the cycle that we truly experience.

Everything has happened before and may happen again, yet this moment will never repeat exactly the same way. “AGAIN” invites spectators to pause for a moment, recognize themselves in the circle of repetition and ask oneself: “What is your “again”?” The installation is a five meter wide circle of light that explores repetition as an inevitable part of human experience and nature. More than 300 meters of digital LED strips are used to create these dynamic lighting effects.

This is one of the artworks in the Spīķeri route of light. The concept brings four light installations together in one story about the human place in time and space, and the ongoing process of transformation. Each artwork reveals a different aspect of human experience: digital identity, the inevitability of repetition, the mathematical order of the Universe and the wisdom our ancestors left behind.
