Old Riga beats in my chest like a second heart! I travel through time back and forth with a time machine, crossing centuries! I come face to face with all that has been in the world and everything yet to come.
Every cobblestone, every tower and every bend of the Daugava river tells me stories from old times. History is alive and colourful! I love Riga with all my heart. I am not just a visitor, I am its continuation.
With bright light in my heart, I travel through time, back and forth, always on an adventure!
In 2026, the song “I Travel Through Time” from KATŌ’s newly released album KATŌ CEĻO, along with the song’s animation created by Anete Matvejeva, will illuminate five buildings. The song’s visualization, created using mapping technology, will bring together a unified, cheerful, and joyful video story.
This is an artwork in the first Old Riga route of light. In the exhibition of nine light artworks “Moment of Love”, the artists seek their own moments of love and definitions of love.
