Latvian Railway History Museum\u2019s wheeled vehicle collection is at the foot of the Light Castle. The Latvian Railway History Museum houses monumental whole pieces and their many minute parts.<\/p>\n

This year we invite you to gaze upon machine parts. We will shine light upon wagon\u2019s and locomotive\u2019s intriguing parts: springs, couplings, buffers, drawbars, wheels, whistles, steam kettle pipes and bushings. A play with light, sounds, and smoke will allow you to experience the railways characteristic rhythms and see the usually hidden steam kettle\u2019s power.<\/p>\n

You can learn each part\u2019s definition and its function either from a museum specialist throughout the evening or by visiting www.railwaymuseum.lv.<\/p>\n
