\u201cOne Building\u2019s Dream\u201d is a series of multimedia projects, which as part of the Festival of Light \u201cStaro R\u012bga\u201d, provide a new look at one of R\u012bga\u2019s buildings each year.
\n\u2022\tIn 2008, it was the R\u012bga Regional Court building (the event was combined with the R\u012bga Regional Court\u2019s 90th Year Anniversary Celebrations)
\n\u2022\tIn 2009 \u2013 the Latvian National Opera (combined with the LNO\u2019s 90th Year Anniversary Celebrations)
\n\u2022\tThe Daile Theatre, which this year celebrates its 90th Year Anniversary has been selected as the 2010 object;<\/p>\n

The artists have creatively used the opportunities provided by the latest technology, and as a result have created unusual video projections on the building\u2019s walls, where they use historical photo\/ video\/ musical materials, which are connected with the specific building \/ the institution\u2019s operations and history. They also play on the building\u2019s architectural features, as well as creating graphic and 3D drawings, the spatiality of which creates an illusion about the reality of the drawn image in its viewers.<\/p>\n

This time the artists hope to create a monumental series of video image art works, which will be projected on the Daile Theatre building\u2019s fa\u00e7ade plates which depict flames.<\/p>\n

The Daile Theatre building\u2019s creation is associated with a fight lasting for years about the defence of one\u2019s idea, \u201cabout the demolition of one\u2019s idea in the crossfire of the bureaucracy and the Party\u201d. Architect Marta Sta\u0146a\u2019s vision was considered to be innovative: her idea was accepted, then denied. The monumental video installation created by the artists \u2013 R. Rub\u012bns, V. Keino, A. H\u0101gendorfs \u2013 is a message expressed in metaphors to the building\u2019s author\u2019s creative and determined spirit.<\/p>\n
