Kristaps Spo\u017eums is the descendant of the Lielais Kristaps (Kristaps the Great, a legendary giant who carried people over the river Daugava) and has arrived from the future. He is one of the last giants of Latvia. As a result of the technological revolution, giants lost their meaning, as people built bridges and such \u201cferrymen\u201d were no longer needed. So, he had to find new ways to serve humanity. With the help of light, he saves people from the gloomy everyday life and invites them to return to the shining world of light, which is threatened in the future due to the high costs.
