The object was created, inspired by the insect of the year 2025 in Latvia – the firefly. This insect with its unique bioluminescence attracts attention in different ways – for some it is memories, for others the intense visual impression provoked by the glow of a firefly. Even so, when creating the light object, this glow is given a new symbolic meaning. The circular form of the firefly gains a symbolic significance with its shining “tail” signifying the beginning of a cycle, while the head indicates its end. The firefly strives for its tail as if towards a new stage or the beginning of a new life. As the firefly completes this cycle, it strives toward its own tail, symbolizing the start of a new phase or a new life.
