Gliding across the surface of Māras Pond, the red–white–red rays of light will symbolize a message of freedom, unity, and strength – a gift to Riga and its residents on the national holiday. Although initiated by a private company, the installation fits perfectly into the “Staro Rīga” light festival on November 18, enriching the city’s festive atmosphere with another red–white–red tribute to Latvia.

“With this light installation, we want to thank the city and its people – for being together, for their work, and for their love for Latvia. May the power of freedom continue to unite us,” emphasizes Agris Markss, a member of the board of SIA “Lautus Vide”.
