40 INTERACTIVE SWINGS

Three interactive light swings invite visitors to join Viesturdārzs’s shared artistic idea that light exists only in motion. Swinging activates the movement of light, the outlines of butterfly wings light up and waves of light spread through the surrounding space. Each movement impulse becomes a symbolic moment of choice, the first step that sets change in motion.

All the paths in Viesturdārzs become independent spaces of light, each with its own character and visual story. All the installations are united by one artistic idea – light exists only in motion.
