A moment of balance – journey becomes inner clarity. “Harbor of Peace” is an emotional stopping point on the shore of Daugava, creating a dialogue with the river by translating its flow into symbolic movement of light. It is a place where journey becomes an inner experience. “Unum momentum” is the moment of pausing, an opportunity to stop briefly, regain balance and become aware of the already experienced. The moment when one is capable of noticing surroundings, other people and the light within oneself.

The artwork consists of 14 metallic flower petal shaped elements and two flower lanterns. Each petal measures approximately 580 × 850 mm, the flower elements are 2.5 to 3 meters high, while the main vertical compositions accents are the 4.5 meter tall flower lanterns. The objects are arranged as a three-dimensional group rather than in a single line, creating a symbolic harbour that visitors can enter, pause and view the installations from different angles. Calm, spatially designed soundscape accompanies the installation.

This is one of four artworks in the Mūkusala Promenade route of light exhibition “Course of Light. From Doubt to Presence.” The exhibition is conceived as a journey experienced both spatially and emotionally. Together the works create a personal path for visitors moving from unpredictable, shifting light to an encounter with their own reflection in the final installation.
