STATES OF IMAGINATION
The light installation “States of Imagination” has been inspired by the idea of quantum entanglement and quantum technology research on the entanglement states of two qubits and their projection into three-dimensional space. The artwork is an exploration of the meeting point of art and science, creating images that are at the same time consistent with the multidimensional mathematical structure of quanta and suitable for projection into three-dimensional space. This artwork sheds light on and provides an opportunity to look into the world of phenomena characteristic of mathematically modelled quantum systems with the help of the visually faithfully reproduced entanglement states.
Quantum entanglement states are rightly considered a fundamental property of quantum systems, which is the basis for the most ambitious and promising quantum technologies that are preparing the next qualitative leap in the development of computing technologies. Meanwhile, explanations of the concepts and most significant discoveries of quantum physics are difficult to understand without a deep-level comprehension of physics and mathematics. The language of art is one of the ways to look into complex theories and ideas of physics with the help of light, sound and visualizations.
