PATH OF LIGHT
A program of light installations and performances in four parts, which can be observed no matter from which end the visitor enters Ojāra Vācieša Street – from Uzvaras Boulevard or from Arkādijas Park. Each part can be viewed as autonomous multimedia performance, which combines various means of expression – light installations, interplay of lasers, projections and light elements, performances and other interactions fitting the mood. The journey of light encompasses a double code, creating a multilayered flow of emotions where the stroller of the path of light can himself pick the favoured storyline.
WINTER. GAZE. BIRTH.
In the dark we turn our gaze upwards, striving to see the sunlight emerge through the blanket of stars in the sky. A longing for spring is born.
SPRING. TOUCH. GROWTH.
All living beings awaken. A gentle touch of spring awakens the senses and invites us forward, so that we feel alive, grow, feel others, and create future memories.
SUMMER. FLICKER. COLOURFUL LIFE.
Glimpses of life on a colourful Merry-go-round. Sparkles of the summer solstice, the sun at its zenith, the shimmering colours of summer in full bloom and butterflies in the stomach. The flow of time is unstoppable, the rhythm of life ineluctable.
AUTUMN. LONGING. SETTING OUT
The flutter of wings invites us to set out on a long journey. The autumnal longing is a painful ache of what is not yet attainable and known, echoing in the incomprehensible vastness of the universe.
