I CAUGHT…
I caught… a proud owl, a lonely cloud… These are just some of the images captured in the cage.
As darkness falls, a giant cage magically reveals seemingly incompatible creatures. The magic of the night in a digital zoo. Artist Stéphane Masson admits that trapping natural creatures in a cage is a controversial practice, but he puts this consideration aside for a moment so we can take a peek at his fascinating digital zoo. The artist admits that trapping natural creatures in this way is a controversial practice but puts this consideration aside so we can take a peek at his fascinating digital zoo. This impressive visual experience makes us aware of the blurred line between reality and fiction: the cloud may be imprisoned, but our imagination is free.
During the pandemic, Stéphane Masson first built a small-scale model of “J’ai attrapé un…” so that he could create a mini digital zoo in the hospitals and care homes of Toulouse, creating a poetic change of scene for patients and care home residents.
