Eight Stars is one of Latvia’s centenary films with historical chronological research about the Latvian Riflemen’s battalions, their formation and participation in the battles of the First World War. It is also about the Battles for Latvia’s Independence right up to the end of the Russian Civil War, when the majority of the riflemen returned home to the recently established Latvian state.
