Name of the project: THE PARALLEL CITY/VIRTUAL GATES

Place: Convent Yard (Konventa sēta)

It is the modern urban environment where the interaction of the complex processes of the modern world expresses itself most radically; you can see how the actually visible processes, the movement of people and vehicles in the urban landscape, are determined by parallel-operating electronic and digital communication networks. Virtual gates invite the viewers to an audio-visual, metaphysical city view. Imaginary landscape turns into a “real” one through the 3D (stereoscopic) projection that can be seen through 3D glasses.
