The illumination of the building “Kalpaka Residence Shines Anew” for the second year revives the urban environment, highlighting the building’s renovated façade and emphasizing the power of timeless values. The light composition symbolizes the harmony between modern design and the preservation of historical heritage.

The special lighting display features the red-white-red tones of the Latvian flag, embodying our nation’s fundamental values – freedom, courage, belonging, and unity. Through light, these colours symbolically tell the story of Latvia’s identity, historical resilience, and ability to preserve its core through time. Like the flag, Kalpaka Residence carries within its endurance, dignity, and respect for history, while looking to the future with confidence and a spirit of development.

This year, the building’s façade shines in a new light, revealing previously unnoticed reliefs and details that highlight its architectural value. Just like the festival itself, the building has recently undergone a rebirth once again gleaming in its renewed splendour.
