Light performance for Latvia’s 99th Anniversary
The Freedom Monument’s concept of independence is expressed in the language of architecture, reminding us of historical images and events which are important to Latvia. The symbols embodied in stone are plain and clear. Kārlis Zāle revealed philosophical concepts such as freedom, the homeland, struggle and victory, which are deep and important to our nation, through the use of realistic artistic methods. The Freedom Monument will come to life through a special light performance to honour Latvia’s 99th Anniversary.
Will start at 8pm on 18th November after the speech of the President of Latvia
