From legends and chronicles to today’s textbooks, the story of the compatibility of the colours carmine and white, also the words God Bless Latvia embellished in the scale of B major, have become Latvia’s national symbols. There is also a third symbol; mysterious and complex, but just as important as the other two, Latvia’s coat of arms.
