GORŽI
Video projection
Rīga’s St. Peter’s Church facade
The source of inspiration for the video projection with its waterfall cascade is an ancient view, based on Sami traditions, according to which nature and humans are equal. Environmental protection and climate issues are connected with the basic rights of the indigenous inhabitants of Finland, and in many senses the protection of their land and water has symbolized the protection of their rights. Gorži creates a poetic experience with the free flow of clean water.
The sound landscape was created by Aake Otsala, while the Joiku is performed by Hilda Länsman
