This artwork encourages viewers to step away from everyday life for a moment and surrender to the magic of colour, movement and analogue light. The facade of the Congress Hall will turn into a vivid dream where we sometimes find answers when we feel stuck in a moment, or the dream we have always dreamed of suddenly becomes true. INTER TEMPORA* explores the relationships between complementary colours and their visual effects, presenting a series of magical, dreamlike scenes. Hand-drawn patterns, bold colour contrasts and continuous movement transform the facade layer by layer. Visions emerge in the light, merge with one another, change and disappear creating a unique and ever-changing world of colour.

Specially made mechanical structures bring the projected images to life with continuous, repetitive movement. Mounted on projectors, these devices create an effect that resembles kinetic sculptures, but on a monumental scale. As a result, the projection is not only visually engaging, but the projector itself also reads as an installation. The graphic artworks are printed on transparent film and projected directly, ensuring that the final result is tangible and based on real physical materials.

The projection is implemented by Hungarian creative group “Lightspray Visual” (Fényszóró Visual), working with analog light techniques since 2010, transforming old overhead projectors into high-brightness LED projection systems to illuminate buildings and monumental surfaces. The Hungarian artists create their light installations using specially built, powerful analog projectors and kinetic mechanisms. “Lightspray Visual” works exclusively with custom-designed visual solutions and does not use artificial intelligence or generative image processing. The group can incorporate any style, concept or visual idea into its work.

*The Latin phrase “inter tempora” literally means “between times”, referring to something situated between different periods or eras, an interval.

The installations in the Kronvalda Park route of light “Awaken!” invite visitors to stop briefly, to breathe in, look around and feel themselves here and now. Light becomes the flow of time, a symbol of hope and a person’s inner light. It invites us to awaken a sense of wonder at the moment and reminds us that every moment, however brief, can become special if we truly experience and feel it.
