Looking within means pausing. It begins with just one moment. It takes courage, because encountering ourselves is not only an opportunity to see our achievements and strengths. It also allows us recognize the fears, doubts and habits that hold us back from growing. Yet this is where our greatest potential lies. Only by understanding who we are can we discover who we might become. Looking within means stopping for a moment.

Five four-sided light installations, each three meters high, offer a place to pause and look within.

This installation is part of the second Old Riga route of light exhibition “Different Light”. The concept invites us to see each person as a starting point for change. A moment never belongs to just one person; it can become the beginning of much wider change. Rather than looking for someone else to blame, we can recognize our own ability to influence outcomes and make the world more humane, open and bright.
