The sun is an eternal, enduring energy symbol, the quintessence of life and the beginning of existence, without which existence and visions of the future are unthinkable. At a moment when the ghostly period’s twilight spreads over Latvia, a miracle will be born, unleashing the sun’s flowers into the greyish firmament. Sun and light are the past’s messengers, ancient witnesses of otherness, but at the same time are also the guarantee of the present and future.
The light project at Ave Sol Concert Hall has been selected for its symbolic meaning, as its name when translated form the Latin means – Greetings, Sun!
The Rīga City Council’s Culture Department’s Concert Organization Ave Sol in collaboration with the “Sonors” Association’s creative team (Krists Pudzēns, Raivis Puriņš and Ingus Ziemelis) will create an innovative project – an interactive light installation. The more active the participation by those present, the more the installation will be illuminated, allowing people to see a familiar place in a new image or a new light.
