Place: The new building of the Latvian National Library
18th November, 2011 is especially remarkable for the new building of the Latvian National Library. In one year’s time as of this date the construction works will be completed. During the project “Shine Rīga” (Staro Rīga) the building will begin its mission as the Palace of Light.
The new concept is a library as an open and creative space for anyone seeking an answer to the question – what does the Latvian National Library mean to me?
