Vērmanes Garden Park
Friedrich Nietzsche has said that the world is a chaotic and random place, and despite all the good and bad things, we have to see the beauty in it. These particular words by Nietzsche served as inspiration for the light sculpture “The Release”, which depicts a scattered body with random geometric and melting forms. To underline the beauty of the body, the fragments are arranged in a golden ratio spiral. The idea for the sculpture arose during the “Baltic Light Chains” Summer School. The object is on exhibit in Vilnius and Rīga as part of the “Baltic Light Chain” project.
The light sculpture was created by using a mixed technique.
